Simulacra of the three modificated toy "Klingelspiele", also known as "Froschklavier" (frog-piano), has been needed to perform Helmut Lachenman's piece "Mouvement (- vor der Erstarrung)" within an ensemble. Therefore also acoustical counterpart for the performance has been developed, tested and used in a performance.
Simulacra - Instruments
Instruments, which are of different reasons not available for certain performances, are replaced by a Simulacrum.Simulacra are more than only simulators or emulators, since includes issues needed for performance practices, acoustical behavior within the performance environment without additional live-amplification, if not claimed by the composition, and sustainable availability.
For the performance from James Tenney's pieces, a overtone generating instrument has been needed. For this purpose the overtone hearing training patch has been enhanced as the "overtone organ" (german "Obertonorgel") was developed and successful played for the piece "In a large, open space (1994)" by James Tenney, based on the overtones of the double base F for 14 musicians.
A organ (heimorgel) was needed for the piece, but non available, so a pyhsical modelling virtual organ ist adapted using 3 keyboards
